The only museum in the Czech Republic devoted to the American Military. The museum was opened for the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the liberation of Plzen and southwest Bohemia.
This exposition is unique in its wide array of collection foundations and in the modern way in which it is presented. It depicts the historical events of the year 1945 in the region of West Bohemia and offers a method for understanding these historic fact, e.g. the „seemingly unrepeatable" experience from the years between 1948 and 1989. In this way it helps the visitor to understand how modern history formel Plzen and the region of the present.
